When you use CatScan, we may collect:

• Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account. You sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In; we receive your name and email address from the provider you choose.
• User Content: Photos and videos you upload for scanning or sharing, plus posts, captions, comments, your cat's name, and profile bio (stored securely).
• Identifiers: A unique account identifier (Firebase User ID) and a push notification token.
• Purchases: Your subscription status and purchase history for in-app subscriptions.
• Usage & Diagnostics: App interactions, features used, onboarding events, performance data, and crash reports to improve the app.
• Device Information: Device type and operating system.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the cat mood and personality scanning features
• Enable community features (posts, comments, likes, follows)
• Process and manage subscription payments through Apple and Adapty
• Send push notifications (with your permission)
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Prevent abuse and maintain community safety

3. AI Processing

CatScan uses artificial intelligence to analyze cat photos and generate fun emotional readings. When you scan a photo:

• The image is processed using on-device machine learning when possible
• For advanced features, images may be sent to our AI providers for processing
• AI-generated content is for entertainment purposes only

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with the following third-party service providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

• Apple: Sign in with Apple and in-app subscription payments.
• Google (Google Sign-In): Account sign-in; we receive your name and email address.
• Firebase (by Google): Authentication, database (Firestore), file storage, Firebase Analytics (app usage and onboarding events), Crashlytics (crash and performance diagnostics), and Cloud Messaging (push notification tokens).
• Adapty: Management of subscriptions and paywall analytics.
• Community: Content you post publicly is visible to other users.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect safety.

We do not use advertising networks, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase services with encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your data while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data
• Opt-out of marketing communications

7. Children's Privacy

CatScan is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
